CHEESES
-
Mothais a la Feuille | Poitou-Charentes, Unpasteurised, Goat. 1 unit (220g). A thick white disc covered in a protective sycamore or vine leaf. Farmhouse made since the 19th century, the rind is wrinkled with a slight bloom, due to the high humidity in which it is initially matured.
- Bethmale Chevre | Ariege, Pasteurised Goat's Milk (200g). A rubbed, brushed & slightly washed rind hosueing a chewy textured cheese, pitted with tiny pinholes. Lovely, earthy, floral flavours with nutty rustic additions to the taste. A seasonal cheese which starts from Spring to Autumn.
-
Tomme de Brebis Tarantaise | Savoie. Unpasteurised Ewe's Milk (200g). From the heart of the Alps where sheep graze on the hillside pastures of the Tarentaise Valley The flavours on this beautiful cheese are rich and floral with that typically silky lanolin edge and earthy notes
-
Haut Barry | Larzac, Unpasteurised Ewe's Milk (200g) . The taste has a gently earthy sweetness, quite sophisticated, redolent of the milk, with a fresh hazelnut bite. A delicious end of meal cheese. Allergens: contains EGG
-
Bleu de Basque | Pays-Basques, Pyrénées, Pasteurised Ewe's Milk (200g). An unusual cheese from the mountain region of Pays-Basques. This is a semi-hard cheese with the blue veins "parsleyed" through the dense, rich, mellow cheese. A rare treat as blue cheeses are not normaly made in this area.
